Among the high scoring first calvers in Canada in July was Addison daughter Brilea Starbright who scored VG87- 2yr. Brilea Holsteins from Cobden, Ontario, own Starbright, who is out of a VG86 Bellwood from Braedale Gypsy Grand VG88. Other high scoring Addison daughters in Canada include Kirklea Addison Vixie VG86-3yr owned by Master Breeder Robert D. MacDonald from Dalkeith, Ontario. With her first lactation she achieved the "Superior Lactation" Production Award doing 2.04 305d 11,700kgM 4.0%F 3.3%P. Vixie is from a VG87 Prelude. Grasshill Addison Fortune (owned by Master Breeders Grasshill Farm Ltd from Bobcaygeon, Ontario) classified VG85 in May as a two-year-old. She is from a GP83 Bellwood from Dohbell Jabot Aurie VG87. Fortune is a very high yielding heifer and after the August proofs she ranks in the top 100 cows for EBV milk in Canada. |
